MARION COUNTY — The search continues for a 23-year-old man believed to be armed and dangerous following a shooting Sunday night in the 500 block of North James in Centralia that sent another man to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Centralia police responded around 7 p.m. Sunday to the Centralia address on a report of a domestic disturbance that resulted in the person being shot. Police are attempting to locate Jonathon L. Hunt as a person of interest in the case.

Hunt’s vehicle was located later in the evening near the intersection of Highway 161 and Route 37 in southern Marion County.   Several agencies are canvassing the area where the vehicle was found.  Anyone having contact with Hunt or observing anyone suspicious in the area is asked to call 911 or contact the Centralia Police Department at 618-533-7602 or the Marion County Sheriff’s Office at 618-548-2141. Hunt is described as a white male, 23 years old, 6 feet 2 inches tall, weighing 150 pounds.

Hunt should be considered ARMED AND DANGEROUS and should not be approached, and if you see him or have been in contact with him,  call 911 or contact law enforcement immediately.
