MARION COUNTY — A 28-year-old Centralia man, who was previously employed at One Hope United, was formally charged Tuesday with felony sexually assaulting a juvenile resident of that facility.

Trevor Gyorkos was interviewed and arrested Monday on the two Class 1 felony charges of sexually assaulting a victim between the ages of 13 and 17 under his supervision.

The arrest stemmed from a report One Hope United made to the Department of Children and Family Services regarding a 16-year-old resident who claimed they had been sexually assaulted by a staff member.

The juvenile resident was interviewed by the Amy Center in Mt. Vernon where Gyorkos was named as a person of interest in the case.

He appeared on the charges Tuesday in Marion County Court where he was advised of the possible penalties if convicted and was also denied pretrial release in the case.
