CLAY COUNTY — Two Flora residents have been identified as two pedestrians who were killed Sunday night in Clay County when they were struck by a vehicle on U.S. Highway 50.

Clay County Coroner Bryce Henry says he pronounced  20-year-old Bayley A. Walker and 13-year-old Bryson A. Walker, both of Flora, dead at the scene Sunday night.

Henry reports shortly after 7 p.m. Sunday, emergency responders were dispatched to an area just west of the intersection of Highway 50 and Big 4 Road.

The initial investigation revealed that two pedestrians were walking in the eastbound lane of US 50, due to their vehicle being disabled in the westbound lane, when they were struck by a passing vehicle.

The driver and passengers of the vehicle were reportedly uninjured.
