UPDATE: Shortly after putting out an appeal Wednesday to residents in the Centralia/Wamac area to keep an eye out for two young girls missing from the Ashley area since early Tuesday morning, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office announced the girls had been located.
The sheriff’s office had earlier announced that 15-year-old Alexcia N. Shaw was reportedly seen in the Centralia/Wamac area and asked people in the community to check outbuildings, sheds or abandoned structures in the area.
A short time later the sheriff’s office announced both girls had been located.
Missing with Alexcia was Delilah N. Russell. The girls had last been seen around 2 a.m. Tuesday in Ashley.
Both girls were reportedly located, but no details have been released regarding their disappearance or their physical condition.

CENTRALIA — People in the Centralia/Wamac area are asked to keep their eyes open and check any outbuildings, sheds or abandoned structures in the area for two young girls missing from Ashley.
Washington County authorities say 15-year-old Alexcia N. Shaw was reportedly seen in the Centralia/Wamac area since she was last seen around 2 a.m. Tuesday in Ashley.
Alexcia is described as as 5-feet 1-inch tall, and weighing approximately 110 pounds. She has red hair and brown eyes and wears large-framed glasses.
Alexcia was reportedly spotted in the Centralia area wearing her large-frame glasses, a red hooded sweatshirt, black sweatpants and a black backpack.
Missing with Alexcia is Delilah N. Russell. Delilah is described as 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighing approximately 116 pounds with brown hair and hazel eyes.
