MOUNT VERNON — The Mt. Vernon City Council will meet tonight to address multiple agenda items, including a request to close North Street between 10th and 11th streets from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, May 19, for a fundraiser event at Central Church.

The council will also hear requests to go out to bid on multiple City projects, including for the Davidson Avenue Road Patch Project, Veteran’s Park and Dawson Park Asphalt Overlay Parking Lot Project, and the US EPA Community Grant Project for video and investigation of various sanitary sewer lines.

The council will additionally hear a request for permission to purchase playground equipment for Dawson Park using Sourcewell State Purchasing Agreement.

After addressing other agenda items, the council will enter Executive Session to discuss the sale and lease of real property, the appointment or employment of personnel and the purchase of real property.

These agenda items and others will be addressed at 7 p.m. tonight in the City Council Chambers of City Hall at 1100 Main Street in Mt. Vernon.
