MOUNT VERNON — Young people in the area are invited to take free airplane rides this weekend at the Mt. Vernon Outland Airport, thanks to the EAA Chapter 1155.
From 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. Saturday, they’ll be hosting a Young Eagles Rally for kids ages 8 to 17 at the Outland Airport, weather permitting. You can enter through the Bonnie Café Flightline entrance area at the airport.
Parental signed consent is required before kids can take a flight. Forms will be available at the rally.
The EAA says its sole mission is to introduce and inspire young people to the world of aviation. You can call 618-242-7016 for further information.
