CAMBRIA – Two women were recently cited by Williamson County Sheriff’s deputies, one of them for meth, following a traffic stop for a traffic violation near Baptist Camp Road and Unity Drive near Cambria.
According to the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office, around 10:40 p.m. on Wednesday, June 19, deputies stopped the vehicle and approached it to speak to the driver identified later as Samantha M. Chromchak.
As deputies approached, a firearm with a scope was seen in the back seat of the vehicle within close proximity to two of the occupants. The occupants were asked to get out of the vehicle.
A sheriff’s office K9 unit arrived on scene. While conducting a free air sniff of the vehicle, K9 Shadow alerted to the odor of illegal narcotics coming from the vehicle.
A probable cause search of the vehicle located a black purse containing a black/multicolored wallet. Inside the wallet was an Illinois driver’s license belonging to Barbara A. Chromchak and a clear plastic bag containing a white crystal like substance which later field tested positive for methamphetamine.
The firearm with a scope was identified as a pellet rifle.
Barbara Chromchak was cited for possession of Methamphetamine, a class 3 Felony, and was taken to the Williamson County Jail.
Samantha Chromchak was cited for the traffic violation.
