JEFFERSON COUNTY, IL — Applications are available to nominate individuals for the 2024 Jefferson County Senior Saints Hall of Fame.

According to David Keen, he started the program in 1998 to recognize senior citizens who give so much to the community.

Each year, 12-14 people are selected for the Hall of Fame and are then honored with a dinner at Cedarhurst Center for The Arts.

Michaela Wharton is one of the organizers of the Hall of Fame and helps coordinate the inductees. She says there are multiple criteria that those wanting to nominate a Senior Saint must know ahead of time.
