NASHVILLE, IL — Recovery efforts are still ongoing in Washington County from last week’s flash flooding event that caused the reservoir dam to overflow and flood a large sector of the city of Nashville.

Residents are now able to pick up clean up kits being distributed by the American Red Cross today (7/23). Those affected because of last week’s events should go to the Washington County Courthouse from 4-6pm to collect their kits.

Washington County EMA urges residents and those affected by Tuesday’s storm to have patience as they are committed to working closely with area partners and the community during the recovery process. Recovery is often a lengthy process, but the EMA reassures residents they will be there to support the community members.
