MT. VERNON – Mt. Vernon Police arrested 26-year-old Devin Bruns of Mt. Vernon Wednesday in connection with a Tuesday night shooting in the area of South 19th Street and Lamar Avenue.

Bruns is charged with Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm and was lodged in the Jefferson County Jail.

Police responded to the scene around 6:45 p.m. Tuesday and learned the shooting took place at South 18th Street and Lamar Avenue, a block away from where it was reported.

A house and vehicle were struck from the shooting. No injuries were reported.

Police investigated and followed up on leads that led them to Bruns Wednesday.
