
CENTRALIA, IL — Two people were injured in a house fire early Saturday morning in Centralia. Firefighters arrived at 428 North Locust Street to find heavy smoke and flames coming from the rear of the home. The fire, believed to have been caused by an electrical issue with a new space heater, severely damaged the kitchen. Two residents, Michelle Donoho and David Riley, were treated for minor smoke inhalation. Firefighters remained on the scene for two hours, with the cause still under investigation.
