SALEM, IL — The Salem City Council is opening discussion about several important issues, including a contract for a new city manager set to start July 1st. Mayor Nic Farley plans to announce the name of the new manager later this week. The council will also consider adding a spring cleanup to the trash collection schedule and securing employee health insurance coverage with Assured Partners. Additionally, a contract renewal for the city’s electric aggregation program is in the works.
