Michael L. Donley, age 69 of Salem, passed away on Monday, April 7, 2025 at St. Louis University Hospital.

Mike was born on September 13, 1955 in Salem, the son of Hartzell and Lilly (Wimberly) Donley. He married Becky Molthan on August 20, 1976 in Salem and she survives.

In addition to Becky, his wife of 48 years, he is survived by two children, Quentin Donley and special friend Carissa McCulley of Xenia and Rissa Stratton and husband James Todd of Alma; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings, Bob Donley and wife Denise, Jody Griffin and husband Bill, Sharon Eilbes and husband Carl, and Oren Donley and wife Evelyn; sister-in-law, Rita Donley; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, William “Bill” Donley; a grandson; and a nephew.

Mike worked in maintenance for the City of Salem in the Gas Plant for many years until his retirement. He was a devoted member of the Apostolic Church of Salem, serving as a trustee. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and was an avid outdoorsman.

A Celebration of Life for Michael L. Donley will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, April 11, 2025 at the Apostolic Church of Salem with Pastor Calvin Jean officiating. A visitation will be held on Thursday, from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the church. Interment will be in Iuka Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to Mission Salem or the Apostolic Church Building Fund and can be received at the church or at Crouse Funeral Home in Salem.
