(MT. VERNON, IL) — Issues arising with Durham School Services has District 80 looking to rebid their busing contract. Superintendent Aletta Lawrence alludes to specific issues this fall with Durham that have since been corrected, but looking at providing the services at a reduced cost to the district is the primary reason for the rebidding effort. The partnership between Durham and the district has been ongoing for several years and the current contract will be entering option year for rebidding, which occurs in the last two years of the current five year deal. The rebidding process for the bus contract for District 80 is expected to get underway once the fourth year of the contract officially begins.
