A man was arrested Friday night after leading Williamson County law enforcement agencies on a chase in a recreational vehicle.
Williamson County Sheriff Bennie Vick says around 6:11pm, deputies attempted to stop the recreational vehicle that had earlier been reported to be involved in a pursuit with the Marion Police Department.
The driver of the recreational vehicle, Kevin W. Page, refused to stop for deputies. Deputies later deployed stop sticks which damaged two of the tires on the recreational vehicle.
The pursuit continued through Johnston City and later into Herrin on Stotlar Road. The recreational vehicle then rammed a Herrin Police Department vehicle multiple times, which was traveling in front of the RV, with its flashing emergency lights activated.
The recreational vehicle then stopped and Page was taken into custody.
Page was charged with aggravated fleeing and eluding, aggravated assault on a police officer, theft of a motor vehicle and possession of a stolen vehicle. He was cited for multiple traffic violations as well.
Page was left in custody of the Williamson County Jail.
