One full school year is in the books after the landmark school refunding reform was passed last year. Many school districts are already seeing the benefits.

One of those districts seeing the benefits is the Mt. Vernon City Schools. Superintendent Aletta Lawrence says the state is not only giving them the new funds, they are keeping up with their payments.

 

Mt. Vernon City Schools received just under $245-thousand in new state money during the 2017-18 school year.
