SALINE COUNTY — IDOT says there will be an upcoming road closure on Illinois 142 in Saline County starting this week, weather permitting.

Starting at 6 p.m. on Friday, March 29, Illinois 142 will be closed between Phipps Road and Douglas/Francis Road – one mile south of the Hamilton County line – so a drainage structure can be replaced. The road is expected to be open by 6 a.m. on Monday, April 1.

You should seek other routes to your destination. Message boards and signs will be in place to remind you about the closure.
