HAMILTON COUNTY — Fire crews from McLeansboro, Norris City and Eldorado responded along with the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office and McLeansboro Police to a report of a fire caused by a lightning strike an at oil field tank battery located on County Road 450, a half-mile north of Akin Road around 10:50 Sunday night.

Hamilton County Sheriff Tracy Lakin says there were eight tanks involved in the fire. No word if anyone was injured at this time.
