MT. VERNON — Five recent MVTHS graduates are among this year’s winners of scholarships provided by SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital Auxiliary. A total of eight local graduates seeking careers in healthcare received the award.
The recipients from MVTHS include Priyanka Kaushal, Minh Nguyen, Aaryana Stringfellow, Nicholas Sursa, and Kaijah Weller. Also receiving the scholarship is Haden Harmen and Savannah Staples both from Sesser-Valier High School and Drew Owens from Benton High School.
Each scholarship award is worth $1,500. The winners were recognized at a dinner at SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital on Thursday.
