SANDOVAL — A 30-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a report Friday from a woman in Sandoval saying a man had entered her home and was going through her son’s clothing.

John Kaufman, of Sandoval, is being held in the Marion County Jail on a charge of residential burglary.

According to reports, the woman told authorities that around 6 a.m. Friday, she discovered a man; she believed to be Kaufman, had entered her home and was talking to himself while going through her son’s clothing.

He reportedly told the woman he was being chased by the FBI and was going to fight someone named Chris.

Kaufman had left the home before the woman contacted law enforcement, but she said he had taken a shirt and had left some of his own clothing behind.
