MT. VERNON — Ameren is joining other utilities across the country to promote the J.U.L.I.E. 8-1-1 system with August 11th this Sunday. That day is being recognized as National 8-1-1 day to remind customers and contractors to follow the law and calling 8-1-1 before starting a digging project.

Gina Meehan Taylor is the Public Awareness Supervisor with Ameren. She says it doesn’t matter who you are, you need to call J.U.L.I.E. before you dig.
