ILLINOIS (RFD) — Illinois Secretary of State Jesse White is encouraging organ and tissue donation during National Minority Donor Awareness Week.
White says nationally, people of color comprise 59% of the waiting list for organ transplants, yet they donate at a lower rate. He says the goal is to encourage everyone to give the gift of life.
