CARMI, IL — A Granite City man wanted on two warrants was arrested after he led Carmi Police on a foot chase late Friday morning.
Carmi Police Chief Jason Carter says an officer knew 47-year-old Clayton E. Coaliron was wanted and pulled up to a home in the 600 block of Sycamore Street. Coaliron ran on foot and was caught a block and a half later.
Coaliron was arrested on a White County warrant for failure to appear for possession of methamphetamine and a Wayne County warrant for failure to appear for unlawful purchase of pseudoephedrine. Coaliron was additionally charged with resisting a peace officer and unlawful possession of weapons by a felon. He had a switchblade knife.
Coaliron was taken to the White County Jail.
