FAYETTE COUNTY, IL — Road conditions are said to be a factor in a Monday afternoon fatal crash on route 185 in Fayette County.

Investigative details from the Illinois State Police say 44-year-old Kimberly Ann Hopper of Raymond died when she lost control of her Chrysler 200 near County Road 350E and drove into the oncoming lane of traffic, striking a Freightliner truck.

The truck was driven by 52-year-old Kenneth E. Dothager of Shobonier. A 10-year-old female passenger in the Hopper vehicle was transported from the scene.
