MCLEANSBORO, IL — A little over 100 people gathered for the Hamilton County Chamber of Commerce’s Annual Dinner Friday night at the Big Red Barn in McLeansboro.
According to Chamber President Mindi Kolts, this year Ted Satterfield Award recipient was Hunt Bonan (BOHN-AN), vice-chairman at Peoples National Bank and president of Market Street Bancshares, Inc.
According to the chamber’s website, historically the recipient of the Ted Satterfield award has been an individual or individuals who have demonstrated a commitment to the betterment of Hamilton County through local business and community activities. The common qualities these individuals possess are a giving nature, concern for community, desire to make a difference, and the drive to see things to fruition.
This year was the first year awarding a business the Business of the Year award. It went to Auten’s Pizza House in McLeansboro.
Jamie Green with Peoples National Bank, Paula Hatfield with the University of Illinois Extension, Scott Kolts of STC, Inc. and Rhonda Mitchell with Mitchell Flowers and Gifts were elected to a three-year term on the Hamilton County Chamber of Commerce Board.
Cindy Anselment was also presented a gift for her years of service and dedication to the chamber board.
