WHITE / GALLATIN COUNTIES — The Illinois Department of Public Health will be conducting two mobile community COVID-19 testing events Tuesday in the Egyptian Health Department’s service area.
In White County from 9 a.m. to noon, residents can get tested at 102 East Main Street in Norris City. Then in Gallatin County from 1:30 to 5 p.m., residents can get tested at the Shawneetown Mall, across from Shawneetown City Hall.
Testing is free and open to the public. Masks are required and you must have a valid phone number.
Tests are done by a nasal swab and can be done on individuals with or without symptoms.
The Egyptian Health Department is asking residents who feel they have been exposed to the virus to get tested as soon as possible to stop the spread of COVID-19 in our area.
