WILLIAMSON COUNTY — A 51-year-old former Johnston City teacher and coach has posted an additional $25,000 bond after being arrested on two new counts of criminal sexual assault of a victim under the age of 17.

Trevor Clark, of Pittsburg, Illinois was arrested last week on a $250,000 warrant charging him with two counts Class 1 felony criminal sexual assault of a victim between the ages of 13 and 17 who was under his supervision. He posted $25,000 bond on Friday and was released.

Clark was previously arrested last August following a joint investigation between the Illinois State Police and Johnston City Police. Bail, in that case, had been set at $500,000 and he was freed after posting $50,000 cash bond.

He was in his second stint as Johnston City Baseball’s head coach when he was arrested last year. Clark had first served in that position from 1998 to 2011 and returned to that role in 2014 until his arrest in 2019.

He’s charged in the first case with five counts Class 2 felony aggravated criminal sexual abuse and four counts Class 1 felony criminal sexual assault of a person between the ages of 13 and 17 who was under his supervision.

Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse is a Class 2 felony carrying a possible sentence of 3-7 years in prison. Criminal Sexual Assault is a Class 1 felony carrying a possible sentence of 4-15 years in prison.

Both cases against Clark are being prosecuted by Special Prosecutor Lorinda Lamken with the Illinois Appellate Prosecutor’s Office and are next scheduled in Williamson County Court September 2.
