(WITHERS BROADCASTING/DANA COMM.) — The American Red Cross is asking you to donate blood as we get into the summer months. The organization says coming out of the pandemic there is going to be more need, as many cancer patient visits and procedures were forced to delay or cancel early in the pandemic due to the risk of exposure due to COVID-19.
But Red Cross spokesman Joe Zydlo says things are getting back to normal and that means they need your help.
If you want to donate blood, you can find information on where and how to do so at www.RedCross.org , or you can download a free Red Cross app from your mobile app store. The app uses your location to allow you to find the nearest donation center near you.
