CLINTON COUNTY — A 54-year-old Centralia man was released from the Clinton County Jail Wednesday after posting bond in a superseding case charging him with leaving the scene of an accident involving injuries.

According to the charging information, Anthony Hoerchler was driving a 2022 Polaris XP Friday on Sewer Road in Centralia when he was involved in a crash that resulted in Kathie A. Gluck being injured.

The crash wasn’t reported until Monday at which time Hoerchler was arrested and initially cited with operating an ATV on a highway.

However, according to Clinton County State’s Attorney J.D. Brandmeyer, further investigation into the incident resulted in a superseding indictment being filed Wednesday that additionally charged Hoerchler with felony leaving the scene of a crash involving injury. It’s unclear the extent of injuries Gluck suffered in the crash. The case remains under investigation.

Bond in the case was set at $15,000 with Hoerchler being released after posting 10 percent cash. Special conditions of his release include not consuming alcohol with random testing. He advised the court he would hire a private attorney. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for September 6.
