Discover Downstate Illinois, is putting coffee enthusiasts in the region on the spot and asking them to vote for their favorite coffee shop in the Coffee Bracket Challenge.

Thursday’s battle is between RAIL Coffee Room in Centralia and Holy Grounds Coffee LLC in Dahlgren.

The winner of Thursday’s competition will go up against Stagecoach Coffee in Paris, Illinois.

Wednesday’s challenge saw 6:10 Coffee Company in Salem come out on top of Gypsy Queen Coffee in Marshall.

There are just a few days left before there’s a winner named in the Downstate Illinois Coffee Bracket Challenge, so go online to the Discover Downstate Illinois Facebook page and vote for your favorite spot to sip some of the beans.

All coffee shops participating in the completion are part of the New Southern Illinois Coffee Trail which includes 50 shops and spans 450 miles.
