CLAY COUNTY — A 26-year-old Flora man was sentenced Monday in Clay County Court to more than three years in prison after he pleaded guilty in December to kicking a Clay County Sheriff’s deputy in the neck and shoulder.

According to Clay County State’s Attorney Phillip Givens, Andrew S. Durbin was sentenced Monday to three-and-a-half years in the Illinois Department of Corrections on a Class 2 felony conviction for aggravated battery of a peace officer.
