CENTRALIA — Centralia patrol officers were busy over the Memorial Day weekend, issuing nearly 60 citations during the “Click it or Ticket” period.
According to numbers released from the department Wednesday, officers wrote 20 citations for seat belt violations; one child car seat citation; two DUI arrest; two suspended or revoked licenses; five uninsured motorists; 10 speeding citations; three drug arrests and one burglary suspect apprehended.
The “Click It or Ticket” campaign is funded with federal highway safety funds administered by the Illinois Department of Transportation.
