WASHINGTON COUNTY — A special zoning meeting has been scheduled to allow the community to give input on a proposed solar facility in Washington County.
Zoning officials in Washington County have scheduled a meeting from 6 p.m. July 16th at the American Legion Post #110 at 533 E. Legion Drive in Nashville.
The meeting will address a proposed 1.9-megawatt ground-mounted commercial energy facility outside Okawville being proposed by New Energy Equity, acting as an agent on behalf of Wild Cat Solar 26 LLC.
Officials say this meeting provides a crucial opportunity for community members to express their opinions, concerns, and questions regarding this significant project, and note it may be the only chance for interested individuals to share their views or concerns directly with the County decision-makers—whether in favor or against the proposal.
For more information or inquiries regarding this project, please contact Zoning Administrator Matt Bierman with the Washington County IL Zoning Office at 160 N Court Street in Nashville, call 618-327-4800 ext 345, or email matt.bierman@washingtonco.illinois.gov
