MARION – The City of Marion, in partnership with Freedom Sings USA, Legal Advocacy Headquarters, Banterra Bank, Visit SI, Cold Blooded Coffee, and other generous donors, is thrilled to announce an extraordinary event coming to Marion.

On Saturday, Sept. 7, Freedom Sings USA will bring an exceptional opportunity to our community, offering four local veterans the chance to tell their stories through song.

Over the course of three days, these veterans will collaborate with award-winning songwriters to transform their life experiences into compelling musical narratives. This unique process of chronicling their stories will culminate in a memorable and free public performance, starting at 6:30 p.m. on Tower Square Plaza. The city invites everyone to join them in supporting and celebrating these brave individuals as they share their masterpieces with the community for the first time.

Bring your lawn chairs and gather with friends, family, and neighbors to honor our veterans. The evening will feature the veterans’ debut performances, followed by the singer-songwriters playing some of their biggest hits. To conclude this special night, acclaimed artist Dave Fenley will take the stage to provide a grand finale performance.
