BENTON – State and county leaders, first responders, and community members showed up for Wednesday’s ribbon cutting ceremony and open house at the new Franklin County Coroner’s Office and Morgue in Benton.

Franklin County Coroner Marty Leffler.

Leffler, who has served as County Coroner for 16 years, also thanked his family for putting up with him and for all the things he has missed over the years.

Leffler says the new morgue will be beneficial to Franklin County.

The Franklin County Coroner’s Office and Morgue is located on East Washington Street in Benton, right behind the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office.
