SALEM, IL — The Salem City Council was presented with a redevelopment agreement when they met on Monday night. Riehm Renovations, LLC plans to renovate two downtown buildings at 300 and 306 West Main Street for commercial use. The project, costing $375,600, will receive up to $110,000 from the Salem TIF District 3 fund. The council last night, also discussed changes to zoning codes, insurance renewals, and a Community Development Block Grant for sewer line replacements. Other items on the agenda included purchasing a new CAT Skid Steer and annexing several properties.
